Each stage of the IAS exam has its own challenges. For instance, in the prelims, it’s about tackling the negative marking. In the mains exam, completing the paper in the right manner is the key. And, in the interview round, it’s all about how you tackle various questions from the board with confidence, that is, ‘how you say’ assumes more importance than ‘what you say’. Yes, newspapers are considered the Bible for the IAS exam. Current affairs is extremely important for the exam and the best source for the same is the daily newspaper. The Hindu and Indian Express are the best bet in this regard.
Any candidate aspiring to apply for the exam must hold a degree from Government recognized Universities or possess an equivalent qualification. Final year students who are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for the UPSC exam
